My acer laptop shut off a month ago and wouldn’t charge, then turned back on last Monday and worked completely fine but it just happened again on Thursday and I don’t know how to fix it. Can anyone help?

Madison Wolfe use a multimeter to check the output of your AC adapter. It should deliver 19V DC on the barrel connector. then check your DC-in port to make sure it is not bend, occluded with debris or otherwise damage. Check the voltage on the battery connector and see what you get with the adapter plugged in. It is possible that this is a bad battery but you do need to make sure that you even get power to the battery.Let us know what you find.

try to replace the power adaptor and the battery
