Craftsman garden tractor 26 HP 54" deck blade is rubbing deck evey 30 second for just a second not continues Started last mowing can’t find were it rubbing at put white paint on inside of deck but no marks
When you get a shudder It usually indicates a bad bearing in the blade . Take the belts off the blades and spin the blades freely by hand and listen to the sound they make while turning . There should be no clicking ticking or grinding sound and if you can hear the bearing turning then its about to wear out . See if you can move the blade up and down at all. If you can the bearing is bad . While you have the belts off check them for cracks or missing chunks , a bad belt can also cause a balance problem. Hope this helps
