How can I move a system hard disk, currently installed in a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, to a Lenovo ws530. The original Lenovo disk crashed and I wish to move the Dell-based disk because it has essentially the same data. Thank you
if the hard drive can be formatted and a fresh copy of whatever operating system you want to use is available to be installed, it should work fine as long as both hard drives are sata. but as far as just sticking in the hard drive and wishing it to work the way it is from the old computer. No that wont happen. Machines have different drivers and windows has this thing about moving its os around from one machine to another. So you will need a fresh install of windows or linux.
