I recently had an issue where so of my games were lagging but videos weren’t. Ended up just updating all my drivers and updating windows. After resetting i had just powered down the computer and next day ran into the “No signal” on both monitors. Iv tried the following to fix: Taking out all hardware and making sure the cords are all back in properlyremoved the GPU and RAM and put them back in correctlyReset the CMOS bu both jumper and removing battery for over 5 mintried unplugged powersupply and holding down power button for a minutetried testing power supply based on manufacturer testiv tried to swap the cords on monitors, tried different monitorsi did try my monitors on a different computer and they workedtried to run with no keyboard or mouse to see if it would starttried testing with just 1 ram card, swapped and tried different slotsno start up beep is heardI do not have another Graphics card to test or another pc to test it on My specs are Motherboard: MSI H81M ECO CPU: Intel i5 4690 K GPU: MSI R9 390 Powersupply: EVGA Nex750 G1
One clue is if the drive light is flashing after turning on the machine. If yes then Windows is probably booting or at least trying to boot-up and the motherboard is good. I’m guessing a the MSI R9 390 GPU is the problem as you mentioned your games started to lag. Jayeff suggestion to remove MSI R9 390 and connect to the onboard GPU ports is a very good idea. I had this same problem a while. The BIOS had really gotten itself tied up in a knot over the two GPU’s. The above solution worked. Once I was able to boot-up with the onboard graphics I ran “Display Driver Uninstaller” (DDU) which completely removes all traces of the graphics cards (GPU’s) drivers and related software. Follow all the step given. When done shut down. Turn on and go into BIOS and turn off the onboard graphics. Save and shut down. Re-insert the MSI R9 390 and connect the monitor cable to the discret graphics card and see if the motherboard screen comes up. Let us know how it goes. As humans we tend to think the problem is BIG but usually it is small. Most solutions are very simple. It is just hard finding that simple solution!
Hi @darkstorm824 , I might have missed it but did you try connecting the monitor to a different output on the graphics card, if possible? Try getting into BIOS to see if there is a display or not. Sometimes BIOS get confused and flips the output on the graphics card so that when it boots there may be a splash screen (which with Windows 10 might not be seen anyway due to fast start) but no OS display when it boots. Also try removing the RAM and starting the PC and verify that the system board speaker is working by getting a RAM failure beep code. Update (04/26/2020) @darkstorm824 , No beeps is looking like a motherboard problem. As I said you should get beeps with the RAM removed as it is checked in POST before the video is checked. There should be onboard video because your CPU model Intel i5 4690K does have it integrated - Intel HD Graphics 4600, so again it is not a good sign Without the beep codes it is hard to tell. Maybe try the buzzer connection on the header pins. You could always get a motherboard diagnostic card - examples only and use that to see what is happening
