Chosen Solution

Hi guys, a very dishonest repair shop made a total mess repairing an iphone 5c of my cousin…a bunch of missing scews and parts (to ensure the instability of the phone=more “repairs”), including the metal bracket that keeps the lcd connectors in place on the logic board: now this piece is not in stock in any of the parts-shop near my location (Italy), is there a diy-temporary-solution for it? Can i use elecrtical-tape and some foam to generate pressure? Thanks!!

Yeah, I mean electrical tape would probably work just fine, while waiting for parts. Had a 5C come in with basically the same thing. Guy used Kapton tape to hold the connectors down. This repair tech may or may not be dishonest. There’s plenty of people in the industry that haven’t been doing it very long, and think this is a way to make a quick buck, and they don’t bother to learn anything either. But yeah, I would use cams link. I would also look for one that comes with the screws and I would make sure, very sure, you’re puttin those screws where they belong, or you will cause major damage Here’s a guide iPhone 5c Screen Replacement Mind step 12

iPhone 5c Front Panel Assembly Cable Bracket Not sure if iFixit ships to Italy but there is the part.
