Hello fellow iFixit’ers, I’m currently busy with fixing 2 PS4’s i got with a WLOD. This particular device was in very bad shape when i received it. Some dude tried to repair it by himself and completely failed at it. I managed to repair the HDMI port that was damaged and everything looks like factory again now. All pads were in good shape so that was quite a lucky find. However, there are 2 capacitors missing on the board that are used by the HDMI circuit. See picture below for the capacitors i’m missing: https://i.gyazo.com/thumb/1000/a2685375d… Does anyone know what value these need to be? I currently soldered in 1000pF and 10000pF and the only thing i’m getting is a grey square screen. the HDMI connector is fine and i checked that all the pins are securely connected. Kind Regards, Paul Benard
Unless there are schematics around the net, the only option I can think of is to desolder a couple capacitors from a good working board, measure capacitance, size, and voltage on the rails they work on. With those available you should be able to find the appropriate replacements at usual component vendors.
