I’m trying to troubleshoot my friends macbook Pro trackpad. The middle section is slow and does not function properly, but the top and bottom section work fine. i tried replacing the trackpad cable with one of mine and it stayed the same so i replaced the trackpad with my white trackpad from my macbook 13" and it worked just fine in hers. Is there a way to fix a trackpad that is not working properly?
The older plastic trackpads do loose their tracking unlike the newer glass version. Sadly, it sounds like its time for a new track pad.
