Hi! I have an MacBook Air 11’ A1465 from Mid 2013 where the keyboard is bad, some keys doesnt work and also the battery wont charge anymore after water spill. If i buy a MacBook Air 11’ A1465 from Mid 2012, can i then use the parts from it in my Mid 2013? I was thinking if the Top Case is the same in the two models, i can just move over the motherboard and screen to the Mid 2012 Top Case? Anyone know?
No. The trackpad cable, trackpad, I/O cable, charger board and possibly more are all different. Keyboard is the same across all years, but won’t work since it is connected through the trackpad cable. Don’t buy the 2012 model to test.
