I replaced the entire screen (new screen included glass, digitizer, camera etc) as well as the battery on my sons’s 5C. Now now of the microphones are working. Everything else works cameras, home button etc. Did I mess something up? Is there a central connection that would effect all 3 microphones?? Thanks for any help
If the Mics were working prior to screen and battery replacement, I could only think that maybe you accidentally knocked off or dislodged a component near the front camera/mic flex connector area of the motherboard. Or damaged a pin on the connector… When putting back together, were you careful to put the same screws back in the holes they came out of? (Thinking possible long screw damage)… I’d go back and remove the new screen…verify that the Flex looks good, the connectors are good and have a real close look around the connector that the front mic would plug into. Of course, I could be way off…as I don’t work on the 5C hardly enough to know off the top of my head, but by going back through the steps you took from the time you began the screen exchange, you should be able to find the mistake or damaged part(s). Also, You could check around here…
Post back what you find (or don’t find) and I’ll do my homework :)
