Hey guys ! I have a problem with the microphone. In a normal phone call people hear me, but they complain that they hear me very very silent. Siri doesn’t hear me at all. Also when I record a video with the front camera, there is only static noise and no sound at all. When I record with my back camera it is fine, but when it gets loud (for example at a concert or a party) the sound dissapears and becomes static just like when I record with my front camera. So my question is which microphone should I replace ? I think the problem is from the one that is located on the front (next to the front camera and speaker), but what do you think ?
I think you are right and that the culprit is the front camera, but you should be able to do a test. Try recording sound from the memo app which only uses your front microphone, if your front microphone is the problem there should little to no blips appearing the sound tracker and when playing it back it will sound weak or muted. You can repeat the test with the video recorder to double check, and to make sure it isn’t both microphones. Hope this helps.
Yeah when recording with the voice memo app it sound very very weak. Thaks for the help. Just one more question - is it normal for people to hear me week over a voice call if the problem is in the front mic ? Is the phone using more than the bottom mic when in a voice call (for noise isolation maybe ?) or is my bottom microphone faulty as well ?
