recently repaired my iphone 6 but now everyone i talk to says i sound muffled and there is a weird background noise,i did peel off the blue backing tape and also the orange tape off microphone which i was not sure about,i did fit the rubber back on microphone too,i have purchased another dock port flex to try again ,any advise were i went wrong would be great ,thanks Update (06/12/2016) problem solved ,i removed the speaker mesh and it did seem to improve a little,but not enough so i fitted another new dock port flex and its all good…1st one must have been faulty so just got to order a new speaker mesh and all done ,thanks for help.
Hi, Make sure there is no dirt in the microphone hole or dirt on the mesh. Also, make sure there is a hole in the adhesive for the mic, otherwise it would muffle the audio. :-)
Go to Settings/General/Accessability/Phone Noise Cancellation… Turn Phone Noise Cancellation off.
