Hey! after a screen replacement on my iPhone 7+, the earpiece and microphone stopped working. A new flex cable fixed the earpiece issue, but not the microphone. on speaker phone, the other caller can hear me. Siri can hear me, as well as while taking videos (both front and back). just when I’m calling on Facebook Messenger, and Voice Memos, when replayed all I hear is static. I’m looking forward to an answer!
Try replacing your dock connector as it has two microphones. I think SIRI only uses the screen microphone, speaker phone uses all, but voice memo and normal calls use the ones on the dock connector so you will only hear static if one has become faulty. They are not that expensive.
