I replaced the charging port & harness assembly on an iphone 6 and now the microphone will only work when it is on speaker when making phone calls.
Sounds like you gotta bad part. You could try to have it exchanged. Or better, get a refund, and buy one from iFixit iPhone 6 Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack
