Whenever I click the sd into place it gets shot out by the reader. Is this something I can fix by opening the device and replacing the reader? Does it need any soldering?
Replacing the SD card reader does not require soldering. It is a module that is connected with the board with a single ribbon. You will need to remove a few screws from the plastic shield and next unpin Card Reader connector from the board.
