Unlike some other questions, my screen isn’t totally dead. I can still get the image to appear by pressing down on the phone in different spots. Is this something that can be easily fixed or do I need to buy a new screen? I made a quick video: https://youtu.be/7okrgu3RBRw
Hi, If you maintain pressure on the screen does the display stay on? If it does (or even if it doesn’t) then it may be that you may not have to replace the screen and that it is a loose video cable connection on the motherboard that is the cause of the problem. Here’s a link to a video that shows how to replace the screen in your phone. At 3:03 minutes into the video the video cable connector is shown. If the connection appears to be OK then the screen will have to be replaced since the other end of the cable is hardwired into the screen and the problem may be in the screen itself. How old is the phone? If it is less than 12 months old, consult the warranty statement that came with the phone (or search online in your location) for what to do to make a claim for a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement.
