I have been using macbook air MC233LL/A but recently its logic board failed . I bought new macbook pro and want to transfer memory from my old one with help of a cable ,so can anybody please tell me which is the right part to buy to do this ,Thank you very much .
You can’t transfer memory only data and files. You’ll have to pull the SSD from the MBA and put it in an external case as there is no target boot option for your machine, and you have said the logic board failed. A far easier option would be to restore your backup from your MBA to the new machine. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
I am looking for the same thing….if you have tried either of the suggestions above, and find that you are still stuck, consider this: The MacBook Air has NO internal HD that might work in a standard external case. The MBA has solid state drives. The bus on the SSD card requires a PCIe-to-USB connection. I have not found one online, however, they are certainly available. Restoring from the Backup would be the easiest thing to do…assuming that you are using a back up. I will continue my search for the exact device and be sure that I place a link here when I find it.
