I just moved to Spain from North America, and ever since my laptop has been shutting off randomly. I do have a used battery (“condition: replace soon”), and I’m not sure if I’m just connecting things, but it seems like it shuts off when someone turns on something power-intensive elsewhere in the household - could it be? Or is this a travel wear and tear problem? Thank you! Update (06/22/2019) Here’s the screenshot!
A north american Mac in Spain is subject to an extreme strain, jetlag to start with, timing is upside down, lunch at 2.30PM , dinner at 10PM, the movida, long nights..uff..enough to kill it. Replace soon really means it, that message comes out usually when voltage threshold is reached a few times and any power intensive task can cause shutdowns, that’s absolutely normal. Just replace it and everything will be fine 99.9% ;)
