Off lately I was facing this boot up problem quite often and when the frequency increased drastically I took it to service center who suggested change of hard disk. Now even after installing brand new hard disk the boot up problem still continues. So what could be the real problem? Is it the graphic card giving trouble? I am worried that constant forcible boot up may damage some other parts. Please help.

Yes - you have a problem and I’d take it back to whoever told you it was the HD and ask them for a better diagnosis. You can run your Hardware Test disk in Advance mode, it may give you information. If the behavior started after installation of a new application or peripheral files they could be the reason. Try a Safe(shift) boot if the behavior stops it points to either corrupted OS (extensions, preferences, login item), User files or fonts. It would take further exploration/examination to determine which. Sometimes making a new user will solve those issues. If this answer was helpful please remember to return an mark it Accepted.
