I recently purchased the following logicboard to fix Wi-Fi airport card issue: MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-Early 2014) 1.3 GHz Logic Board / 4 GB . REmoval & installation went fine, and WiFi issues are resolved. However, I now have odd issue of keyboard & track pad won’t work after login. This started only after replacing logic board. system log shows errors similar to the following: Error: AppleHSSPIDevice::_DoDescriptorRequestGated Failed issue request error: 0xe00002ed Error: AppleHSSPIDevice::getDeviceDescriptor Failed to get descriptor with error 0xe00002ed Error: AppleHSSPIDevice::start failed to get device descriptor Error: AppleHSSPIController::_enumerateDevice Start failed Error: AppleHSSPIController::_handleEnumerationFailureGated Failed to enumerate the device. Resetting the device and trying to enumerate again. Attempt:1 ALL cables appear to be in good condition. SMC & PRAM reset doesn’t help USB keyboard and mouse work fine. Is the logic board I was shipped a possible refurbished one, that might of had previous issues? Reason I ask… it was in a sealed static bag, but I could tell the logic board had been previously screwed down before.
Reseat the trackpad cable as seen in step #23 of this guide, make sure you open the locking tab and relook it after fully seating the cable: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Upper Case Replacement
All boards around are used and/or repaired ones, nothing strange with that, but I find it a bit strange anyone would want to go through the troubles associated with shipping a faulty board to see it returned after a few days by the buyer. I’d go through double checking the cables are correctly in place and no pins have been damaged..you’ll need magnification and a good light source as minor damages can hardly be caught by eye.
