Old Maytag still fills and agitates. The dial turns, but the water does not drain in the normal (“whites” and “colors”) cycles. It will simply start agitating again in the rinse cycle. At first this only happened with the “whites” cycle, started at least several months ago. Not really sure because I usually just wash everything in cold water anyway, using the “colors” cycle. Now it’s happening with the “colors” cycle too. The only way to wash clothes at this point is to keep the laundry room door open, and when it gets quiet at the end of the wash, turn the dial to “delicates” spin. Then back to rinse in “colors”. Then back to “spin”. Annoying, and it doesn’t get as much water out, so now my dryer has to work harder.
Hi @laurainhouston , As you have already found out, the cycle timer switch, Control Panel part #13 -supplier example only is most probably faulty. Just search for WP22002715 (this is the manufacturer’s part number) to find suppliers of the part that suit you.
