I replaced the original hard drive on my Mac Pro early 2008 with an SSD drive, which made a big improvement the speed of the machine. I now have OSX 10.5 (for legacy software use), Boot Camp and Windows 7 installed on a spare 320GB hard drive and the original 500GB hard drive as a backup disk. The problem is, Windows will only start up if I remove the original 500GB hard drive, presumably because it’s still the Master drive and the others are slaves. How can I make the SSD the Master drive, or is the problem somewhere else?

Master and slave drives were issues related to IDE, ATA & PATA drives, SATA drives do not have this issues. So look elsewhere.
