Here is the MacBook Unibody Model A1278 repair guides. Please note this systems SATA port is only SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) so what ever drive you put in needs to be able to run at this I/O speed make sure to review the drives spec sheet carefully as many will not work at this slower I/O speed.
