This fell out when I moved my printer now my manual feed will not work. Any ideas? How can I put this back in?
Hi @katskorner, I can’t find a service manual for the printer but looking at the parts list for the printer, I think that it may be the roller shaft shown as part #1-4 in the Brother MFC 7840W Document Scanner Parts List section of the part list. (scroll about halfway down the page to find it) Below the diagram showing the parts for just this section you’ll find the Brother part number and description i.e. 1-4 LP2601001 1 SEPARATE ROLLER SHAFT ASSY If you can’t load documents into the ADF (auto document feeder) then this is most probably why.
