Hey guys, I wanted to change the battery of my iPhone Xr, as I punctured it while replacing the back glass. However today I replaced the iPhone battery and there is a message that the battery is not genuine. My question is if you can reprogramm the battery with a device like the Qian Li iCopy Plus v2.1 so the iPhone is tricked into “thinking” that there is a genuine apple battery built in to the phone. Copying the battery information will not work. If you want to get rid of the message you will need to remove the original battery flex with its components and spot weld on to replacement battery. It is not worth it unless you are refurbishing a lot of them.
