The other day I noticed my MagSafe cable is not lighting up when plugged into my Mac. The Mac is not charging I have reset the smc, and unplugged the battery. Is it the cable or could it be something else?
The first thing to do it test the mag-safe for output. On the right of this wiki is the pin out, test it with a multimeter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagSafe Also see if anything is blocking full insertion on the mag-safe port (it is magnetic and can pick up small objects and block connection. Next test the pins on the mag-safe and see if they are fully extended (I use a sponger to gently press them in and see if they pop back.
