I was given a Magnavox TV w/ DVD player (to fix and keep) that won’t turn on. Standby light illuminates when plugged in, wont turn on when power button is pressed (have not tried powering on with a remote as there is not a remote that came with it). TV was made by Funai, I’ve found numerous issues online for Magnavox TVs made by Funai, but most say swollen capacitors needs to be replaced. I’ve popped the back cover off, no swollen capacitors are noticeable. The backlight board on it is the A1DF7MIV if that helps. Any thoughts on what else I need to check for? (before blowing money on something that may not come back to life)
Hi @jollygreen206 , Here’s a link to the service manual for the TV. Scroll to Sect.9-1 to view the Power Supply troubleshooting flowcharts. This should give you a start to check what is happening (or not happening) with the TV.
