Has anyone tried the new Magic Mouse with linux? I’ve heard it works as a two-button mouse in linux, but I’m curious if anyone can confirm that scrolling or gestures are supported.
I got one of these for Christmas, so I can confirm that it works on linux. It looks like someone is working on a linux driver, but it’s in the very early stages of development. They’re hosting it on github: http://github.com/cosmonaut/xf86-input-m…
Not 100% sure about Linux but I know that the only function on windows OSs is the right click you mentioned. The multi-touch features will not work. It has been suggested around the super information highway that Apple may be releasing Windows drivers for them, but I don’t know about Linux. It still has a particularly low market share
the right and left click should work, but the multitouch feature won’t work without a driver, depending on which type of linux, it might already have a multitouch driver in the os.
