Chosen Solution
In changing my phone screen, I noticed that my mute switch screw was loose. In trying to tighten it up as carefully as I could, my screwdriver rubbed against the battery, exposing the metal shielding ever so slightly. Am I safe here, or should I swap out the battery? Update (03/02/2019)
Hope this clears things up. :/ Update (03/02/2019) The battery doesn’t appear swollen to me so I am still of two minds about it. Here’s a better image:
To be on the safe side it would be recommended to change the battey it’s hard to say with out seeing it. It’s most likely just scraped the top and is fine for now, but if you drop your phone again and its sparked it could trigger of a burn.
