I bought a second hand macbook pro retina 13". It looks like great, but if i want to start, it is beeping 3 times. It was water damaged, but I try everithing. Pcb cleaner, heating, but just beep, beep, beep.. The dc-built in adapter was not damaged, just the mainboard water indicator what is red, and its charging Can i change the ram modules, or reball? Somebody met with this problem whit this mac?
With liquid damage, this is usually caused because there is some liquid under the RAM chips. Had a couple of Air’s before which would beep when doing an NVRAM reset, resolved with an ultrasonic clean. Scrubbing the board will not help, take it to someone with a good ultrasonic cleaner, so it will submerge and clean under the chips. It is possible to remove, reball and even replace the RAM chips with one from a donor board, but it is not fun, and you will need to know which one is causing the problem. If you have never done that before, I wouldn’t recommend it.
