Chosen Solution
Hello everyone, I’m French and I have a problem that I can not solve on my white MacBook 13 “penryn in late 2008. After changing the motherboard, so I wanted to install Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I changed my external hard drive, the former is HS. When I run the installation, the disk starts alone. The choice of languages, no keyboard response brand new! Even with an external mouse not nothing responds. How?
Try installing 10.5 first. Your 10.6 may be a upgrade disk. Also remember to format the new hard drive.
An upgrade-only disk would give you an error message stating that fact. The internal keyboard is connected to the logic board over a USB bus; if it does not respond and an external mouse doesn’t respond, then the USB controller is broken; you should probably return the motherboard as defective and get a new one.
