I’ve got a 2015 A1502 EMC 2835. It does not respond to the power button. I can reset the SMC, the MagSafe confirms this, however…. The MagSafe is green when the battery is connected and turns orange when the battery is disconnected. This is inverse to what I’m familiar with. I’m sure the battery is fully charged, but the MagSafe should not be orange with no battery connected.
Not much to go on here. Try this: disconnect the battery and mag-safe. Press and hold the power on button of 15 seconds. Reconnect and (pray first), give it a shot. Note anything tones or lights if it does not boot right up.
