My MacBook was knocked onto the floor while it was on and the screen went black. There’s no cracks in the screen and no visible damage to the exterior. I tried turning my MacBook back on and it starts up (Apple logo comes up with loading bar) but once it’s gets half way loaded, everything shuts off. I’ve tried taking the battery out and putting it back in but that didn’t work. I’d hate to have to replace this MacBook since its been such a trooper. Any advice?
Try starting up in Safe Mode by holding down the shift key on start up and let us know your results. What system are you running and do you have a repair partition? If so , start up holding down the option key and the R key, boot from the repair partition and run Disk Utilities.
