Hello, Like most users, I’ve had issues with the buttlerfly keyboard and finally gave up and sent it to Apple to get it replaced. However, Apple claimed a non-existent water spill damage in my laptop and tried to charge an exhorbitant amount of money - I knew no liquid had ever been spilled over my laptop, and later opened and checked the liquid damage stickers and they were fine. Since Apple refused to replace the keyboard I did it myself, replaced the whole top case with a new one. However, although the speakers and touch bar included in the new top case work, the keyboard doesn’t respond to any key presses. The keyboard backlight works fine, though. What could be the issue? Faulty top case.Damaged flex cable - I have ordered another one to try connecting the old keyboard without having to take apart everything again.Keyboard blocked by T2 chip - then wouldn’t the touch bar also be unresponsive? Is there anything else that could be wrong here? Thank you.

I ordered a new keyboard cable and replaced the old one, the keyboard started working again, so either the old cable broke when replacing the top case or it wasn’t properly installed. Thank you all for your help!
