Chosen Solution
Hello, my MacBook retina early 2016 has an issue where every 2-4 seconds the screen flashes to white and grey lines. After 1-2 seconds of the lines, it goes back to working normal for about 2-4 seconds before returning to the lines. It does this infinitely and won’t stop. The color of the lines changes with what is being displayed on the screen. I also hear a small buzzing noise when the lines appear near the bottom of the display around the left hinge. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thank you!
Can’t be 100% sure without tests, but it looks like a display issue. You can buy a Usb-C to Hdmi adapter to check the image is correctly displayed on an external screen or Tv. If the image is there, then a display replacement would be the most probable right solution. If on the external screen you have the same image as on the display, then you’d need a logic board replacement.
