Dear beloved iFixIt, Statement of the Problem: My Macbook unfortunately is not turning on, Not charging battery - only green light. Feels like a bricked device on my table here. No chimes, no lights, nothing seems to be working. How it occurred: On a very busy day, as I was about to leave home to another town, even though I had just 5% left, I forgot to shutdown my MacBook and closed the lid to deep sleep. 5 days later I reached home to obviously find the MacBook dead. Thinking this is just a battery-no-charge problem, I plugged in my device to find the MacBook not charging and not turning ON. What I have done everything since: I tried almost everything I could find in the internet regarding MacBooks not switching on. I did the SMC reset, I did various key combinations found online, I removed the back cover reset the Ram, disconnected and reconnected the battery, tried different chargers, replaced DC power jack board. Nothing seems to work. Clarifications: Absolutely no water damageAirport card not working - I therefore disconnected the card permanently.. worked fine without it for almost 3 months.Upgraded to 16gb Ram, 256Gb SSD and 1TB HDD about 1 year ago.. worked fine till recently. I literally have a sitting INR 1.3 lakhs paper weight/brick infront of me. Please help .. Thank you so much in advance… Your ideas will highly be appreciated…

You have there a 6+ years old battery that was left drained for a few days..that’s enough to kill a battery sometimes, especially if its condition was not so good anymore. Try unplugging the battery from the Mac and connect the magsafe; you should get a spontaneous boot. If not but you have still the green light showing up it might be a logic board issue.
