To begin with, I couldn’t remember the password to my computer so what I did was tried to reset the password on recovery mode. I did “command+ R” then clicked on terminal and typed “resetpassword”. I followed the steps and entered a new password. after that I went on and re-started the computer from there. After that it tries to boot but it takes 6 minutes and after it boots it immediately shuts down. It won’t let me in. Can anyone please help, I know that the disk was fine before this. The computer worked fine before i tried to reset the password can anyone please help me out. Thanks I also tried to repair the disk through the recovery mode because it says it needs repair but I keep getting an error that the disk cannot be repaired. I think i messed up the computer with perhaps the code i put in the terminal. I am sure that something went wrong after i reset the password on recovery mode. PLASE help

The two main problems I have run into with the MacPros have been failed video cards and failed power supplies. When the power supply starts failing, mine have shut down on their own or rebooted. As time went by the frequency of shut downs increased. If you think it may be your hard drive, boot from the original system installation DVD or a retail 10.6 DVD. Let me know your findings.
