The Mac screen was broken when it was dropped to the floor. The computer still works as before. There is a dark stripe in the middle of the screen from top to bottom about one inch wide. At the bottom of the screen shows some broken images. Can this screen be replaced?

This can absolutely be repaired, what you have damaged is the LCD. The LCD can be replaced on its own but this would be a very difficult repair for anyone who isn’t fairly experienced with MacBook repair. Alternatively you can replace the LCD assembly which is a much easier (but more expensive) repair. If you do the LCD assembly make sure you get the correct model for your MacBook
