Hello, The issue I am having is my mid-2014 13’’ retina MacBook pro is not turning on. If I plug in the MagSafe power cable it will turn orange, I could leave it plugged in for days but it will never go green. I have tried resetting everything and checked all connections on the motherboard and they look fine. I can hold down the power button and nothing happens.

Try opening up the bottom, disconnect battery from the logic board and reconnect magsafe to rule out a possible battery fault preventing startup. Other than that there’s not much you can do on your own beside finding a lab into component level repairs or try to replace your logic board.

It sounds to me like your battery has an issue. Have you tried disconnecting it and starting the machine? It could also be the macs internal charge port that has blown do to a short. Check the Magsafe carefully to see if there is any small metal part that has been attracted to the magnet. This will short the Magsafe and cause it to not start until you either install a new Magsafe or repair the charge controller within it.
