Ok so when I plug in the laptop, the light is green and doesn’t change to orange. When I turn on the computer, the computer says its not charging. Ive already tried a SMC reset already. The battery was left in the computer for about 4 years without use so the battery is probably at 0%. Sometimes, the light will change to orange, the battery indicator lights will light up, then the light will change green and then the computer will say not charging.
With a battery unused for such a long time it’s no wonder it doesn’t take charge. First step in my opinion would be to replace battery, that’s probably all you need to do.
