Hi, after changing my hard drive in my MacBook pro mid 2012 for an SSD, I found a piece and I don’t know where this piece go into my macbook. Does anyone know where this piece go ? See image of the piece. Thanks,
What you have is either the backside of the foot you lost! Take a look at this guide to replace it MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Feet Replacement jump down to Step 3. Or! Someone had taken out your logic board and forgot to put the microphone back in properly into the grommet in the uppercase MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Microphone Replacement Jump down to Step 18.
It appears to be a rubber grommet. I honestly don’t know where that came from, but if your MacBook is running fine without it, just throw it away. Test the CD/DVD drive, and benchmark the MacBook (To put it under pressure). If something starts rattling, you found the place where that piece goes. Good luck
