Hello, I’m having an issue with a mid-2014 MacBook Pro Retina not booting up that started a couple months ago. When I try to plug in the power cable, the LED light on the power cable initially shows as green, but then switches to orange after a few seconds. It then always stays orange (even if I leave it plugged in overnight). I have tried the following things: Reset the SMCSwapped out charger cable (with a brand new one)Tried to boot in safe modeSwapped the battery with a brand new oneSwapped the Magsafe 2 DC-in board with a brand new one Could this be an issue with the logic board? Thanks

Most probably yes, it’s a logic board issue, I’d guess the battery is not getting charged if you already tried replacing it. You may have a look at battery data on system information App that will show if/how much power battery is getting or you may download Coconut Battery to have some further info.

You talk about replacing the MagSafe cable I don’t recommend doing that for a couple of different reasons. Ideally you should use a good charger and a real one as well. Review this Apple T/N Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters and review this OEM MagSafe Chargers vs Cheap Imposters: Teardown for Truth. And lastly the MagSafe cable has a chip in it!
