Hello everybody! I bought a MacBook with the problem of the motherboard, when I opened it, I discovered that some components are missing, the previous owner left some time in the technical assistance and there they stole the parts. I do not know if it is still worth trying to fix, I need photos of this card to see what components are missing, I found an electrical schematic in PDF, but I do not know if it is complete, it does not have the arrangement of the components on the motherboard and this makes it difficult The replacement. I am sending three pictures with some components that I missed and that are preventing the voltage from going forward. Every help is welcome. Sorry for bad English. Thank you
@camalau this is to answer your questions regarding the missing components. This is not to diagnose your board or make assumptions about why those parts are missing. Determination about that will be yours to make.
Reference Designator C7555 is a 10UF 16V 10% capacitor in a 0805 package Reference Designator C6990 is a 4.7UF 35V 10% capacitor in a 0805 package Reference Designator D6990 is a BAT30CWFILM diode in a SOT323 package Reference Designator R6990 is a 47ohm 1/3W 1% resistor in a 0805 package All 6990 components are part of the 3.425V “G3Hot” Supply circuitry, C7555 is a component of the AXG PHASE CPU circuitry. combined cost for those parts is ~$2USD and readily available at places like mouser.com or digikey.com as well as many others.
Sadly, someone who is stealing components to repair other systems are doing so from a bad logic board. I think it would be cheaper and easier to just replace the logic board with a known good one.
