suddenly macbook’s main display is just black but it’s not completely black, it’s lighted black and apple logo is brightened and when i connect to external monitor , on external monitor it works. i heard about reconnecting display cable wiil work, i didnt this yet. how can i solve this problem….. i wanna ask you guys, if display cable is problem, can main display does show lighted black and logo glow.
Why are you waiting to reseat the display cable? Was it dropped or water damaged? What were the circumstances when it went down?
It is likely an issue with the monitor. You may attempt to reseat the connector, but be prepared that in most case this doesn’t work. No need to try to run disk utility or anything that has been mentioned above. Although, you may want to reset the SMC on the unit in case this is a power designation issue. Good luck!
