Hi Guys so basically i bought a macbook pro mid 2014 retina display and i’ve been using it for like 3 days now and today suddenly when opening it i found this scratch on it i don’t understand i was home alone and last night i closed it like normally xD so im having a headache right now coz i don’t have warranty and i don’t understand how this happened . since its working normally but its so annoying with that line all over the screen also when i turn the laptop off there is no line and also when i put the birghtness into the lastest level and it disappear .anyone can help with what can id do ? or should i just live with it ?
Screen looks broken by pressure applied to it, as if someone pushed it hard. No idea how that could happen right out of the blue. Maybe it’s a refurbished screen that was installed well but not perfect and/or some pressure was applied by different heat expansion deltas of screen and frame. If it doesn’t bother you you can still use it but it’s quite likely sooner or later it will start “bleeding”. Unfortunately these retina screens are just abt 1 mm thick and very fragile.
