Hello everyone, I hope you’ll be able to help me. I own a mid 2014 MacBook Pro 13 that exposed to liquid, after that the battery is dead at 570 cycles and the system is asking me to replace it, my Mac works properly but it won’t turn on without the charger lighting orange. I performed the AHT and got this PPT006 that indicates to replace the battery. after going to Apple store they found that i’ve to replace the Logic board and the HDD too plus the battery that will cost me $900. At Apple store they performed their own test and found that even if I change the battery it won’t work, here’s what they found ( please see attached photo). After the OS was showing 0% for the battery, now it shows N/A. and it says no battery is detected even the battery isn’t removed. Please I really need your help, What should I do? My Mac is working very well. All Bests,
This seems to be a motherboard issue, just find a repair shop that knows to repair this. Ask for a quote before agreeing on a repair and don’t say the quotation you have from Apple. Usually unauthorized repair shops will charge you $200 to $300 for the motherboard and another $150 for the battery
