The Ifixit guide rated battery replacement for this laptop “very difficult” so I paid an experienced but unauthorized Mac repair guy to do the job. The battery seemed fine at first, but then the Mac didn’t recognize it. Coconut verified this information. The repairman deflected the blame and said that it must be because of a bad motherboard. Suggestions? Might it be the battery connector?
Let’s get a better view of things, post a screen snapshot of CoconutBattery and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question Make sure the charger is plugged in. It could be a bad battery or the MagSafe connector is dirty or damaged. Then the MagSafe charger could be a knockoff which tend to damage the logic board comparator logic which is very repairable!
