I have this machine: MacBook Pro “Core i5” 2.3 13" Early 2011 2.3 GHz Core i5 (I5-2415M) Intro. February 24, 2011 Disc. October 24, 2011 Order MC700LL/A Model A1278 (EMC 2419*) Family Early 2011 13" ID MacBookPro8,1 The motherboard is 820-2936-A. Just bought it. PROBLEM: It’s got a few resistors missing close to the LCD connector on the MB. Laptop works fine on output monitor, but because of those resistors, the LCD’s got full white with lines etc. I NEED HELP TO IDENTIFY THOSE RESISTORS, please!! Are they common, like you can get if from other non- macbook laptops?
@murtdoc this is to identify your components not to diagnose why they were removed:
reference designator C9020 is a 0.001UF 50V 10% capacitor in a 0402 package reference designator C9796 is a 220PF 50V 10% capacitor in a 0402 package reference designator C9011 is a 0.1UF 16V 10% capacitor in a 0402 package reference designator C9012 is a 10UF 6.3V 20% capacitor in a 0603 package reference designator R9008 and R9009 are 2.2KOhm 1/16W 5% resistors in a 0402 package These are common components and should be widely available to you. Yes you can harvest those from other equipment for as long as you know they are the right components. They are inexpensive so there really is no reason for doing that.
