I recently bought a used MacBook Pro “Core 2 Duo” 2.4 15" (Unibody) Late 2008 and have replaced several parts with more coming soon …. One thing I’ve noticed is that when I connect the charger the Battery Indicator LED’s on the ports side light up briefly then go out completely. I’ve never owned a MacBook Pro before with this feature and not sure if they’re suppose to stay on ? and change as the battery charges ? So if anyone who has this model or has owned this model could give me some insight if something is not functioning the way it should that would be great -
The battery checker LED’s do in fact light up when you plug in the MagSafe power adapter. They will go out within a few seconds if the battery is fully charged, otherwise they will stay on until the battery is charged. This is normal!
