Just want to share my CRAZY story regarding those 2016 models. I got it nearly NEW - yes - 2016 but NEW - DriveDX app reports SSD been powered just 72 hours - YES - just 72 hours and MacBook developed “light bleed” My point is…… it is NOT happening because opening lid more than 40 degree (which I never even done!) It is just……… “TICKING BOMB” - it is just dying because…… it HAS TO die. Update (02/19/2021)

Any ways…. Apple has you covered! At least you got a freebee! If you hadn’t posted here would you have known of the extended warranty? It would have cost you a bit of coin needlessly!
