A couple of weeks ago I decided to finally replace my old HDD for a SDD and it was great. Computer was like new, a dream. A couple of nights ago, however, I decided to also replace the optical drive for my old HDD and it may have been one of the greatest mistakes I ever made. In the process I screwed up the camera cable (which is fine, since I almost don’t use it). The problem is that once I turned on the computer, everything got extremely slow, sluggish, laggy. I got so desperate that I decided to put back the optical drive, but that did not work as well. Computer is still very slow, although I’m only using the SDD. I have already reseted PRAM and SMC, formatted the SDD. So far nothing has worked. The only thing that gives me a little hope is the fact that the computer is still very fast when I enter into the safe boot mode, so I’m hoping it is not a hardware issue. I already gave up on the idea of having the HDD as a second drive in my macbook. I just want things to be fast again with my new SDD. Please, somebody help a desperate man! Thank you in advance for any help!
Pull out the broke off camera cable connector , the cable is causing your motherboard to stop short then press power.
